Winter Wonderland
I currently live in the south, where we are rarely graced with even a flake this time of year. So in an effort to bring more fluffy white trees to my blog this winter, I am recycling some of last year's trees from an April storm in upstate New York. I had flown north for a "spring" wedding and ended up stranded by a foot of snow. Ah...so glorious! Couldn't work, couldn't get home...so naturally, we played in the snow.

I found your blog via the Festival of Trees. Nice photos!
We got hit with a bunch of snow yesterday, but we'll survive - I feel bad for the folks who endured those tornadoes.
Keep up the good work!
yay, i remember!
Good winter photos. I snowplow so I don't get to hike in the woods as I would like when its snowing.
The best part was the snow fort battle. For a reenactment go to the three minute mark of this (click click).
I wish snow and icicles could fall on my head and turn me into a rhinoceros, too.
Ah, snow.
Guess what? It looks just like that again tonight. Not quite as much snow yet but it's wet and heavy and will continue to fall all night. Our Christmas tree is still on the deck and looks cute decorated with fresh snow.
Sigh, It looks like this in my area, the catskill mountains. Oh BTW, I also love trees. I teach Master Gardeners and try to get them enthusiastic as I am. I taught a class about trees and shrubs and the hard part was trying to narrow it down to a three hour class. Seems like most of the choices were "my favorite tree".
